Gancia de Muze, Cas de Liberté Z, Electra van ’t Roosakker, Centa de Muze, Sterrehof’s Ushi, Sancha LS, all of them with a foal in this week’s Zangersheide Quality Auction!
On the Friday and Saturday of the FEI WBFSH Jumping World Breeding Championship for Young Horses, Studbook Zangersheide shines again with her Quality Auction. The Zangersheide Quality Auction is considered the annual highlight of the foal season and has realised absolute top prices in the past. Like filly foal Emmerby vd Berghoeve Z who sold for a stunning € 300,000 last year!
One of the undisputed auction stars of this edition will be number n°37, Chagan Z, a Chacco Blue son out of Gancia de Muze. Chagan Z is the very first son of the legendary Gancia de Muze to appear at auction. Gancia was given her farewell from the sport last year, after an exceptional career in which she collected an amazing eight 5*GP wins and countless victories in other international classes at 5* level under Niels Bruynseels.
And Niels Bruynseels has another Grand Prix mare who sends a foal off to auction for the first time. For years Cas de Liberté Z travelled the world together with Gancia de Muze and for her too it is the first time one of her foals makes it into the auction. N°65, Kash de Liberté HK Z is an incredible filly foal sired by Kashmir van ’t Schuttershof!
Just as exclusive are n°25 Bailando de Regor Z (Balou du Reventon) and his sister n°50 Eres Tu de Regor Z (Emerald). Centa de Muze ranks among the best mares in the world and it is nigh impossible to buy one of her foals, let alone a filly foal. The fact that Zangersheide promptly succeeds in offering two foals of this mare is proof of the extraordinary confidence of its breeders!
Also appearing at auction is the first Diablesse de Muze son. N°20 Quito van het Hulst Z is a son of Quidam de Revel out of Joe Clee’s Diablesse de Muze, herself a Werly Chin de Muze daughter and so a sister of Derly Chin de Muze and Kirschwasser SCF!
Breeding changes rapidly and breeders, riders and fans are prepared to invest heavily in direct filly foals out of Olympic- and champion mares, a tendency Zangersheide strongly focused on for the compilation of this collection. N°5 Cara Electra DK Z is a direct daughter of Electra van ’t Roosakker, n°10 Dalmatia T40 Z is a Dominator Z out of Daniel Bluman’s Olympic Sancha LS. With N°2 Bella Ushi S Z and n°79 Chacco’s Ushi Z there are also two Sterrehof’s Ushi filly foals in the auction!
But it doesn’t stop with these stars, of equal merit are n°30 and n°53, a full brother and sister of Mumbaï, n°34 and n°72 full brother and sister of All In, n°83 a brother of Emerald, n°35 a brother of Darry Lou, n°66 the full sister of Jeunesse, n°47 the full brother of Uricas, n°58 the full brother of Landon and n°55 a brother of Utamaro d’Ecaussines Z!
Eighty-six foals will be auctioned at Stud farm Zangersheide on Friday the 22nd and Saturday the 23rd of September. The full collection can be found on www.zangersheide.auction.
For those who don’t have the patience to invest in a young foal there is the Zangersheide Quality Auction for Young Horses on Thursday the 21st of September, where thirteen young horses will be auctioned. Thirteen gems with amazing freejumping skills and who are clinically and radiographically healthy, all with the Z suffix behind their name. A quality label for top sports!
