September is by far the busiest in terms of auctions. Over 1800 embryos, foals and horses where auctioned off during the past month!
Stallions
In comparison to August the top five stallions that sired the most foals at auction this month sees the first dressage stallion entering the top five at number four. Extreme US has replaced Eldorado vd Zeshoek in the top ranking, while Comme Il Faut and Conthargos changed places (3-5). Given that the number of jumping foals sold and shown on Barnbridge is higher than the number of dressage foals (538 dressage foals vs. 757 jumping foals), the trend of popular dressage stallions taking their claim in the top 5 is rising.
Highest average foal prices
The highest selling average prices for foals has changed per country as well. Belgium firmly top the highest selling countries for jumping foals, with no top ranking for Great Britain this month. Topping the ranks for the dressage foals is Sweden, thank to the top prices in the Swedish Warmblood Association Auction. Great Britain might’ve still had top listings this month, but some auctions choose not to publish their prices, hence the numbers this month for the UK are not taken into account.
