Whitney van Ter Bronnen

Socrates van den BosdamCasall ASK

Whitney is a mare that showcases a lot of quality in her free jumping performances. She does this in several ways. First and foremost, she makes a strong first impression with her powerful push-off and solid movements. This impression is only reinforced when she jumps, as her careful approach and technique leave a lasting impact. Strong in the forehand, impressive in her take-off, and with a beautiful tail action to finish!

She is fortunate to carry the right genetics. Her sire, Socrates, is a young son of Eras de St. Hermelle, a direct descendant of the 1.60m jumper Bethsabée vd Maltahoeve. This bloodline is complemented by Holstein lines from Casall and Landgraf I. Moreover, Whitney’s maternal line boasts several well-known references. Carolina, a half-sister to her dam, jumped at the 1.60m level under the American flag. The Nabab de Rêve son, Nobby de Pinte, also reached the 1.45m level. Going further up in the maternal line, we find Nahdinso d’Aix and Lugana, who both reached the 1.45m and 1.60m levels (with Paul Estermann) respectively.
