As his name suggests, Son of Mattias comes from the second crop of the sensational jumping stallion Mattias, now considered one of Jur Vrieling’s future stars. Dam Noname impressed at the mare inspection with 85 points for scope in free jumping, achieving an overall score of 80/80. She is a half-sister to both the international 1.60m-level Grand Prix horse Gijs (s.Kashmir van Schuttershof), ridden by Nicola Philippaerts, and the 1.50m-level performer Kantibes (s.Hunter’s Scendro), ridden by Julia Houtzager-Kayser. Granddam Vantibes has already produced the 1.35/1.40m-level jumping horses Loek (s.Heathrow) and Equador (s.Whitesnake). Additionally, Vantibes is a half-sister to the international 1.50m-level horse Troyes (s.Carlino), ridden by Jessica Springsteen in the American Young Riders Championship. From the direct damline of Son of Mattias originates the international 1.50m-level performer Sir (s.Fundy du Mont) as well.
