VDL Lancasten is a son of the upcoming top producer Etoulon VDL crossed with the mare Gouvernante VDL who was successful at 1.50m Level with Marlon Zanotelli. VDL Lancesten has already showed at International Level and is a horse that is great to ride. He is tall but has a very easy comfortable canter. He has a good technique, good use of his body, and has plenty scope. Lancesten VDL is certainly a horse to jump bigger classes on. Sire: As a young horse, sire Etoulon VDL already impressed with his remarkable jumping technique and reflexes. He continued his outstanding performances in international classes with multiple placings on 1.50m level with Jur Vrieling. Equally impressive are Etoulon VDL’s breeding achievements, with his oldest offspring excelling at the highest levels, such as Jordan Molga M, Ebanking, Opaline de W&S, and Lexington. Dam: Gouvernante VDL has firmly established herself in the sport with impressive performances at international 1.50m-level under Marlon Modolo Zanotelli. She also enjoyed success with Darragh Kenny, winning two CSI5* classes in Wellington in 2022. Gouvernante VDL is a half-sister to the multiple World Cup winner Farrel VDL, with whom Daniel Coyle triumphed in Ocala and Vancouver. Damline: This Hanoverian family has produced several successful showjumpers, including the top-level showjumper Polyfino, ridden by Raimo Aaltonen. The 1.50m-level jumping horse Payton, ridden by Willem Greve, also originates from this damline. Lancasten VDL seems to have all the potential to become the next top performer from this impressive family.
