Castella is a five-year-old Holsteiner mare with Crack HV as her father, who performs successfully under Richard Vogel. Her mother is a half-sister of Cantara 59, who won the Hanoverian Championship at the age of six, finished third at the German Championship for young horses, and participated in the FEI WBFSH Jumping World Breeding Championship for young horses in Lanaken. She then went on to win the 1.60m Grand Prix of Kentucky!
