Yearling colt Universal stands out with his large frame and impressive way of jumping, showing a lot of scope and excellent hindleg technique. His half-brother Deville 4 is an approved stallion in Westphalia and competed at international 1.40m level as a seven-year-old.
Sire Norton VDL jumped 1.30m courses as a six-year-old in 2024. Norton VDL is a son of Baltic VDL, who sired top performers like Leone Jei (Martin Fuchs) and Ilex (McLain Ward). Norton VDL is also a half-brother to Cat Ninja (1.60m GP with Andrew Kocher).
Dam Evoniek is via Veron a granddaughter of the 1.60m GP stallion Quite Easy. Granddam Grace (Wolfgang) also gave Carlo I (1.60m GP with Nicola Frances Hammond), Hast Och Sport Resor Saturnus (1.50m level) and Prominent (1.35m level. Closely related is the CCI4* eventing horse Hollywood Dancer.
