When they can jump well themselves, the chance of producing a good showjumping horse is very real. Check the jumping technique of the almost 13-yr-old Calvara. A large-framed mare with a strong take-off, power and a good hindleg technique.
Calvara is a daughter of Quintago VA (1.55m Grand Prix), full brother of Quintago I (1.60m Grand Prix). They come out of the full sister of top-class progenitor Cassini I, who was active in the world top under Franke Sloothaak for many years.
Dam I-Calvara, who also supplied Cambiasso (1.35m level showjumping), descends from Cantus x Roman x Aldato. De Roman mare Kollet already produced the KWPN stallion Little Rock (1.60m GP under Jennie Zoer), two 1.50m level showjumping horses and a Grand Prix-dressage horse.
A half-sister of Calvara, U-Charme (Casall), is known as dam of the licensed stallions Mr. Quality Z (Zangersheide, 1.50m level showjumping) and Oxfort Quality (Holstein, 1.30m level) and another four 1.40m to 1.45m level showjumping horses.
