Zapatero VDL – Indoctro – Ahorn

Gedling, 2018

Size: 172 cm

No Limit is a beautiful, likeable gelding with a larger stature, who stands out due to a super, rhythmical canter and an equally stylish yet simple approach to jumping. This gelding with a great jumping pedigree has competition experience as a five and six year old on courses up to 120cm at both national and international level. He has been ridden solely by lady riders. He has high ability but simultaneously a very calm nature, which makes his interesting not only for professionals, but also for ambitious amateurs. His calm jumping approach could also suit hunter classes. His sire Zapatero Vdl was as a 3 year old the Reserve champion at the Stallion inspection and as a 4 year old he was Reserve Champion in the stallion competition at 1.10m level. At 7 years old he was a finallist in the Dutch Championship for Young Horses and 2nd in the finals of the Youngster Tour at Geesteren. Ridde by Jessica Küerten, Zapatero won the GP of the KWPN Stallion Show 2015 and the VHO Trophy in 2013. They had other impressive results, such as 6th in the GP Ebreichsdorf, 7th in the Championship of Salzburg, 8th in the GP in Oliva and 10th in the WC Zürich. Zapatero’s offspring have attracted attention in the show ring. They exhibit good reflexes, technique, attitude and scope. His first offspring are competing at Grand Prix level. His dam Cherysinaa is sired by legendary Indoctro. This sire is a living legend and is among the world’s best sires. His offspring have achieved successes at the highest level. At the Olympic Games in 2008, three horses by Indoctro participated: VDL Orestus, Don Porfirio and Picolien Zeldenrust. In Holland he is known as VDL Indoctro, while in Germany, following the Holstein naming custom, he is C-Indoctro. By any name he is one of the world’s most successful jumping sires. Her dam Wysinaa is by another legend Ahorn. Ahorn was himself an international competitor, placing at a number of top European shows. He was granted ‘Preferent’ status in 2001 and is the sire of ten approved stallion sons including AK High Valley Z, High Valley’s full-brother, Noble Boy, Furore, Ohorn and Hattrick. Ahorn had four approved grandsons, including Kelvin (by Flemmingh).
