Bred from the first crop of the genetically promising BWP-approved stallion Cavalier Russe Z, Story of the Year PP is a grandson of the 1.40/1.45m-level competing mare Wodermie, who was ridden by Christopher Frazer. This makes his dam Madermie PP a half-sister to the international 1.40m-level horse Cadermus PP (s.Contact van de Heffinck). Granddam Sadermie is a half-sister to the international 1.45/1.50m-level horses Isodermus PP (s.Kannan) and Emadermus PP (s.Cooper van de Heffinck). In the third generation, this line traces back to the 1.50m-level performing mare Madermie, who competed with Wil Schellekens. This direct lineage has also produced horses such as VDL Legodermus PP (s.Harley VDL), who performs on 1.50m-level under Hessel Hoekstra. Sire Cavalier Russe Z is a son of Jos Lansink’s Olympic mount Valentina van ’t Heike, and shows great promise for a significant future in sport and breeding.
