VDL Night Grey is a direct son of the great European Champion mare Cella. VDL Night Grey is a tall gelding with a top mentality and the perfect amount of blood. Very straight forward and brave in the ring, he is a real pleaser and gives his rider confidence. He jumps with a very good technique, is careful and has scope. VDL Night Grey is a great Amateur horse but is also a great horse to produce for the bigger sport. Sire: BWP ambassador Falaise de Muze comes from an exceptional damline and is a direct son of Harrie Smolders’ former top showjumping mare Walnut de Muze. Falaise de Muze himself performed admirably at 1.50m-level and has proven his value in breeding, sire to successful 1.60m-level showjumpers such as Ivory TCS, Just Special VK, and Hurricane DD. Dam: Under Ben Maher, dam Cella secured major victories during her career, including the 5*-Grand Prix of London, the 3*-Grand Prixs of Wellington and Tampa, the World Cup competition of CSI5* Wellington, and the Nations Cup at CSIO5* Dublin. This extraordinary mare claimed a total of 13 international wins and earned team gold and individual silver at the European Championships in Herning. In recognition of her stellar career, she was crowned FEI Horse of the Year in 2013. Before her remarkable sporting achievements, Cella produced four international showjumpers, including the 1.50/1.60m-level performers Happy Wandor van ’t Roosakker, Fabio van ’t Roosakker and Handor van ’t Roosakker.
