This very promissing youngster is just turning 5 this year but certainly has a bright future in front of him! Father Glasgow van’t Merelsnest has proven himself as a Nations Cup horse with his rider Jur Vrieling representing The Dutch Team on numerous occassions. VDL Plesman is from the same mother as World Cup Quailfier winner Farell ridden by Irish Top rider Daniel Coyle and VDL Gouvernante who was succesfull up to 1.50m level with Marlon Zanotelli. VDL Plesman is a horse that is easy to ride, has a comfortable canter and a very good overview at the jump. He jumps with a very good technique, very good use of his body and has a lot of athletic scope. VDL Plesman is a horse with great potential! Sire: Glasgow van ‘t Merelsnest has proven the excellence of his pedigree with outstanding performances at the highest level under Jur Vrieling. The Grand Prix, Nations Cup, and World Cup winner represented the Netherlands at the European Championship in Gothenburg and the World Equestrian Games in Tryon. His oldest offspring have made a mark at the highest level, such as the successful High Five, ridden by Fernando Martinez Sommer, and Imperial HBF ridden by Tim Gredley. Dam: The valuable Stakkato daughter Becherry has consistently proven to produce top-level showjumpers. VDL Plesman is a half-brother to several outstanding horses, including the 1.60m-level competitor Farrel VDL, with whom Daniel Coyle won World Cup classes in Ocala and Vancouver, and the 1.50m-level performer Gouvernante VDL, ridden by Marlon Modolo Zanotelli. Damline: VDL Plesman comes from a strong Hanoverian family, which has also produced the top-level showjumper Polyfino ridden by Raimo Aaltonen. The 1.45m-level competing Lacros VDL of Francois Lamontagne, is closely related to VDL Plesman.
